Facilities:  8 lane grass running track, 2 large fields (158 / 104m and 109 / 80m)

Accommodation: There is the capacity to board over 100 people on the campus. The rooms range from single to double, and meals are provided every day upon reservation

Other Facilities: Testing and evaluation center, laboratory at the University of Goroka (partner), recovery and physiotherapy room, meeting rooms, classrooms, cafeteria, and Tennis court

Comments:  Just miles from the airport; The National Sports Institute offers high altitude training at 1,600m above sea level, an environment separated from distractions in a culturally rich and supportive environment. The institute promotes sports excellence and education and at the local university whom they partner with. This allows students to easily travel from the site to pursue tertiary education for personal development while at the Institute. The area is safe, the views are peaceful and the all-natural food is a great additive for recovery.

The beneficiary of a United States scholarship, Gimie has returned to PNG with higher education qualifications and expressed interest in contributing to the growth of the sport through coaching at all levels.
